Wildthings, due to Covid 19, was forced early on in our grant to look for new ways to spread the message on the latest research in the area of pollination and how beneficial native vegetation is for both the famers crop production and the environment
Our Webinars conducted in 2020 and 2021 introduced researchers and conservation practitioners to the community.

Propagation Workshops

Over the past two years, Wildthings for the grant Planting for Pollinators has conducted two workshops on how to propagate native plants, with over 70 people participating in the hands on sessions, held at the local Native nursery, Conservation Collective

Revegetation Demonstration Sites

Planting for pollinators grant involved a number of demonstration sites, to highlight the different strategies employed to revegetate an area and plant a diverse range of native plants into the two sites

Planting for Pollinators

Planting for Pollinators, a grant made possible through the Victorian Landcare grants 2019-2020.
Inspired by the latest research into the advantages of native vegetation combined with pollination dependant crops, boosting both biodiversity and crop production, the project seeks to educate and inform the community about  revegetation practices. Building the capacity of the community to develop biodiverse revegetation sites on farm land to support pollinators for farm production and the environment
